Abstract

A study in the use of accelerometry to ascertain the effectiveness of using gait analysis from data acquired with a sensor logging ankle motion to determine the mechanics of a child's motion. This involved deriving a number of metrics, including foot impact force, maximum leg lift angle, and stride frequency to provide a child's performance profile across the test duration through bivariate analysis of physical performance and body metrics.
