Abstract
Analysis of our progression data in 2016-17 revealed one subject group in particular underperforming; within this group we recognised that these
students presented with a range of characteristics that Hartpury University was committed to widening participation to HE for. A programme aimed to
raise awareness of opportunities and aspirations with regards to careers and progression from FE to HE via targeted support sessions was delivered
to these students mapped to the NREUPI framework. Initial evidence revealed that although qualitative evidence suggested a positive outcome
progression figures to any HE institution did not increase. A full evaluation of data from 2016-2020 using statistics and thematic analyses will be
presented to encourage discussion about in-reach and out-reach programmes for Universities.
