Description
Hartpury Youth Performance Education and Research (HYPER) Project is a free community project which provides free strength and conditioning provision to young female athletes across Gloucestershire. The aim of HYPER is to achieve the following:
Provide opportunities for young female athletes to engage in strength and conditioning in a safe environment
To provide coaching opportunities to female undergraduate and postgraduate students to coach and lead strength and conditioning sessions.
Conduct research that enhances the development of sport science/strength and conditioning provision for youth female athletes
The current research interests for HYPER are the following:
Female Youth Performance and Injury Prevention
The Impact of Growth and Maturation on performance and injury rates
Optimising training lose dosage for physical performance
