Overview

Wing Ng is a graduate researcher in the Department of Animal and Agriculture at Hartpury University, focusing on greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs) and carbon audit on farmland. Before pursuing her postgraduate studies, she has gained field survey experience in remote sensing (drone and satellite imaging), geographic information system (GIS), sediment transport, seabed mapping in coastal and shallow waters, food sampling and water quality assessment during her master studies in Plymouth and Hong Kong. She also has over a decade experience conducting life cycle assessment (LCA) and environmental impact assessment (EIA) in: i) food production sites and factories; ii) vineyards and small-scale farms (crops), and iii) international airport lounges and related green facilities, all within Hong Kong, China and internationally, particularly across Australia, Malaysia and UK. In addition, Wing was awarded the ‘Good Safety Suggestion Recognition Award’ (Food safety and environmental governance for airport safety) by Hong Kong Airport Authority in March 2017, and she has been actively contributing to environmental management system (ISO 14001, 9001, 22000) and integrated management system for carbon audit as an in-house quality assurance auditor and trainer.
