As Academic Dean (Teaching, Learning & Student Experience) at Hartpury University, Dr. Steve Butts leads on student experience strategy and high level actions to ensure Hartpury furthers its oustanding reputation for education and student experience excellence.  Having worked as a higher education senior manager since 2013 he has led major units including Head of a large Business School in addition to overseeing major curriculum and capital projects.  Educated in the USA as an applied anthropologist, Steve's varied research projects include: rural tourism and business innovations; public sector policy and community engagement; experience economy as a vehicle for enhancing the student experience; and ethnography of sport and surfing.
