Personal profile

Overview

As a Registered Equine Veterinary Nurse (REVN) I have an interest in all aspects of veterinary nursing, most specifically equine surgical nursing, intensive care and rehabilitation. I joined the Hartpury team of veterinary nursing lecturers in November 2016 and gained a postgraduate certificate in higher education in 2018 (FHEA). I am currently studying a Masters in Applied Equine Science and most recently in 2024 I was promoted to Programme Manager for the BSc(Hons) Equine Veterinary Nursing.

Prior to lecturing, I gained an honors degree in equine science at Hartpury College (UWE) in 2000. On completion of this, I worked for three years in a small equine veterinary clinic followed by 13 years in a large equine veterinary specialist referral hospital where I gained an NVQ level 3 in equine veterinary nursing in 2008, an assessor qualification (A1) in 2009 and clinical coach certificate in 2010.
