Overview
Dr. Laurence Protheroe is a senior lecturer in Sports Biomechanics within the Department of Sport. His main research interest is on the inter-segmental coordination, performance analysis of team sports and student learning in biomechanics.
Research interests
Laurence is a member of the Sport & Exercise research centre. He is also a member of the Rowing community of practice in collaboration with the University of Pavia.
Current teaching
Laurence leads and teaches on the undergraduate biomechanics modules, performance analysis modules and leads the Sport research and knowledge exchange project module. He is the manager of the MSc Applied Performance Analysis in Sport programme.
External positions and memberships
Laurence is a member of the International Society of Biomechanics in Sport, British Association of Sport & Exercise Sciences and is a senior fellow of Advance HE. He has also acted as an external examiner for the University of Sunderland and the University of Central Lancashire.
