Overview
Claire joined Hartpury University in 2019, and is a Principal Lecturer in sports therapy and is programme managed for the BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy programme.
Claire has previously worked at Edge Hill University as a Senior Lecturer in Sports Therapy. Claire is a Chartered Physiotherapist having qualified in 2006 from University of Birmingham and has experience working in the NHS, private practice and professional sport including football, rugby league and basketball. Claire has worked at international sports events including London 2012 Olympics and Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2014 and with England Basketball squads in regional development, training and international tournaments.
Claire completed her Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Education in 2009, having previously completing a BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science degree from Staffordshire University and then the MSc (Pre-Registration) Physiotherapy at University of Birmingham.
Within the educational setting, Claire has worked as external examiner at validation panels, nominated examiner for MRes project and currently as the external examiner for the BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy programme at Chichester University and is a reviewer for Research in Sports Medicine
