Personal profile
Overview
I am a Senior Lecturer in Sports Management at Hartpury University and programme manager of the MSc provision. I am experienced in dealing with online media creation and customer engagement. Prior to academia I worked for a major retail organisation focusing on customer service and experience management. Having moved into academia, I have been at a wide range of Universities across the U.K. developing partnerships at Northampton, Birmingham, and Worcester University, with an interest in digital media and customer-to-customer interactions (CCI). I am a recipient of a Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence (CATE), recognising sustained impact and innovation in higher education teaching and learning. My teaching and research focus on sport management, player development, employability, and inclusion in sport, with a strong emphasis on industry-embedded authentic learning. I am lead of the Hartpury Sports Business Hub, a member of the Customer Interactions Research Group (Worcester University) and former School governor at Severn Academy trust. I have recently been appointed to the QAA Subject Benchmark Advisory Group, contributing to the development of national policy and standards in higher education.
