We’re helping to unlock the answers to questions that really matter to the animal and agriculture industries.
We care about making the world a better place. That’s why our research is searching out different ways to enrich the lives of the billions of animals, plants and people with which we share our planet.
We’ve launched three key research themes to address the impact of urbanisation on people, animals and surrounding areas.
Agriculture in Society is finding new ways to connect food production with city dwellers; The Wildlife Continuum is protecting wildlife and encouraging diversity in line with the natural dynamics; Animals in our Care is promoting an understanding of how to enhance the health and wellbeing of animals through ethical decision-making.
Our campus provides the perfect setting to carry out research, as it’s home to an award-winning commercial farm, more than 70 different species of animals, and a wildlife haven supporting woodland, meadow and lake habitats.
