DescriptionAs the numbers of those diagnosed with dementia continues to rise, greater emphasis is being placed on improving their quality of life (QOL). Increasingly, alternative, non-pharmacological methods to maintain QOL are being sought. One method employed to do this is equine-assisted activities (EAA), yet research into the benefits for participants is limited. The aim of this research was to investigate what, if any, benefits EAA can have on the QOL of people living with dementia.
