Women’s Coach Development Group – Collaborative Discussions and Sharing Ideas (Practical) – Gloucestershire FA

This is a networking support group that is aimed for intentional female coaches (18+) to attend. We cover a range of workshop topics that aim to help female coaches within their coaching journeys and pathways with the aim of improving their practice and confidence to deliver in relation to key concepts that the Football Association promotes.

The focus of this workshop linked to both theoretical and practical discussions surrounding session design. I designed an observation task that linked to the different stages of the practice to generate reflective and collaborative practice within the theoretical elements. Coaches watched a U14’s Gloucestershire FA Development Team session to reflect upon the ideas used and how it may be interpreted and embedded into their own coaching environments.
