Selamatkan Yaki: Become a #YakiSaver

In 2007, the first region wide survey of Macaca Nigra, Sulawesi Crested Black Macaques, known locally as Yaki, was undertaken. Sadly, the species was confirmed to be in severe decline and to save this Critically Endangered species in it's home range, Selamatkan Yaki was founded.

Much of our work focusses on people, cultivating Pride for Yaki in Sulawesi and Indonesia, engaging with people via social media and various activities in North Sulawesi and further afield. This talk will provide a reminder of why saving the Yaki is so important, what we're doing to achieve this aim and how you too can become #YakiSavers.
