Prevalence of urinary stress incontinence in female rugby players

Description

This study explored Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI) among female rugby players at premiership and university level, using an anonymous survey of 62 participants. Findings showed an exceptionally high prevalence, with 88% reporting leakage, particularly during high-impact activities such as tackling, being tackled, and jumping. The results highlight the need for greater awareness and targeted interventions to support female rugby players across all levels.
