Students on the BSc Physical Education and School Sport course at Hartpury University experience teaching Physical Education lessons to children with SEND (Special Educational needs and/or disability) as part of one of their modules. This experience is often valued by students and accompanied by challenges that they learn to overcome throughout the module.

This study aimed to explore students' experiences of engaging in authentic learning whilst delivering Physical Education sessions to children with SEND. This presentation was co-created with one of the undergraduate students who shared a ‘narrative piece’ with the audience, reflecting on significant moments, impact and advice for teaching staff to support curriculum design.
